About the Role
Based in our London office, youll be part of a multi-office engineering consultancy, working closely with colleagues across our other UK sites. Youll manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously while mentoring graduate engineers and technicians to meet our business and client objectives. This is a hands-on design role with a strong focus on Highways and Drainage, ensuring project deliverables meet quality, compliance, and client satisfaction standards. Youll also support Directors across the group to drive continuous improvement in design services and operational efficiency.
What Were Looking For
Were looking for a Chartered Engineer (CIWEM, ICE, or CIHT) with a track record of delivering quality infrastructure designs and experience working collaboratively in a consultancy environment. The right candidate will be proactive, technically skilled, and confident in both design work and client communications.
- Essential Requirements
- SC Clearance (must already hold or be eligible)
- Chartered with CIWEM, ICE or CIHT
- Minimum 5 years experience in highways and drainage design
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Causeway Flow (or equivalent software)
- Familiarity with Section 278, Section 38, and Section 104 agreements
- Ability to produce detailed drainage and highway calculations and drawings
- Working knowledge of CIRIA, BRE Digest, BS EN752, and Design & Construction Guidance
- Experience writing reports, preparing specifications, and attending site visits
- Commercial awareness of costing, budgets, and quotations
- Desirable Skills
