The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The role involves creating dynamic, eye-catching and engaging publicity images and managing picture publicity campaigns to support the strategy of the Media and Entertainment division and reflect changing viewer behaviour. This role will work across genres including entertainment, reality, factual, sport, and drama programming.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage picture publicity campaigns across all genres, including devising concepts and creative for key publicity visuals, commissioning photographers and other freelancers, talent approvals, editing, and captioning.
- Plan and execute a picture publicity strategy for each campaign in line with the wider M&E objectives.
- Understand how to use photography as a news story and generate positive headlines from imagery.
- Create moodboards, pitch documents, and creative decks for stakeholders for picture publicity campaign shoots.
- Incorporate new technologies into campaigns, delivery, and planning.
- Maintain a wide network of contacts to encourage new talent.
- Manage the production process on publicity shoots, including presenting ideas to stakeholders, booking and briefing freelancers, managing photoshoots, and overseeing post-production and delivery.
- Take delivery of imagery, resize, crop, caption, and prepare for wider release.
- Create press packs in Keynote and/or Google Workspace for internal and external usage.
- Collaborate with marketing, social, creative, and publicity teams as well as production and commissioning teams to devise cohesive and innovative picture publicity campaigns.
- Work closely with the marketing team on programme launches and events, including event branding and photo opportunities.
- Construct appropriate picture opportunities for content creation as required.
- Generate ideas for wider activations and understand what works for the media group.
- Work closely with Producers to ensure top-quality photography is delivered for programming not supported by a picture publicity campaign shoot.
- Manage logistics and photographers for red carpet photocalls and events.
- Manage talent and their teams during publicity shoots and the talent approval process.
- Upload imagery to the ITV Picture Publicity website and internal archives.
- Field and answer picture publicity enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Cover absences of others on the Picture Publicity team when they are on annual leave.
- Work with influencers and content creators to facilitate the creation of digital assets for publicity campaigns.
Unusual Challenges/Circumstances:
- Extensive travel abroad.
- Weekend and evening work, especially when relevant programmes are on air.
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria):
- The ability to recognise good picture-led news stories and deliver relevant imagery to print and digital media.
- Excellent relevant contacts across print and digital media.
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop with extensive experience in editing, captioning, and prepping images for release.
- Proven experience working with Talent in photo shoot and on-set environments.
- Demonstrable experience in managing picture publicity campaigns and photo shoot production.
- Demonstrable creative and strategic thinking with excellent personal and communication skills.
