Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Mid-weight Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Web design, Branding, UX, social media and motion design/Video Editing. As a Mid-weight Designer, you will work closely with our team and directly with our clients to conceptualise and execute high-quality designs that meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop innovative and engaging design concepts for web projects, social media campaigns, and motion graphics.
- Create visually stunning web designs that are user-friendly, responsive, and aligned with the client's brand guidelines and objectives.
- Workshop with clients to learn about their unique user needs/requirements to better inform your design decisions.
- Design eye-catching graphics for social media platforms, including static images, animated infographics and short videos to enhance client's online presence and engagement.
- Develop 2D motion graphics and animations for various digital projects, such as promotional videos, presentations, and interactive media.
- Work with our team on pitches and proposals, scoping projects and managing delivery timescales to ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, and incorporate them into your work to continuously improve and innovate.
- Confident in pitching and justifying ideas to both the agency’s internal team and our clients.
Must Have’s:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a designer (ideally at an agency).
- Ability to manage several project deadlines.
- A strong portfolio showcasing web design, social media graphics, and 2D motion graphics.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
- Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices for web design including W3C Accessibility principles.
- Experience in Wireframing and Site Mapping.
- Strong conceptual thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under deadlines as well as being able to forecast design timescales accurately.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Shopify, WordPress, Umbraco and Wix CMS platforms.
- Experience working in an agency environment.
- Experience analysing and reporting on e-commerce analytics.
- Confident pitching face-to-face in front of clients.
- Experience writing proposals and interpreting briefs.
