By leveraging in-depth knowledge of global education systems and conducting comprehensive assessments of international students, the Independent School Advisor will design, implement, and continuously optimise personalised strategic plans. These plans are aimed at maximising each student's likelihood of gaining admission to top-tier independent schools, thereby setting the foundation for their future success.
Job Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture partnerships with UK independent schools to facilitate the strategic placement of international students, attending industry events to promote the company and expand networks.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and interviews to gauge students' academic aptitude, generating tailored reports that suggest suitable UK independent schools and educational pathways.
- Collaborate with Education Consultants to market UK-level education to international students and their families, leveraging expertise in school admissions to support contract negotiations and closures.
- Coordinate and manage or deliver both online and face-to-face tutoring sessions in preparation for UK independent school entrance exams, while liaising with Academic Coordinators or freelance ISAs to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Maintain real-time communication with Education Consultants and client families, offering lesson feedback, application status updates, and adapting strategic plans based on performance metrics.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential challenges facing students, making informed adjustments to existing plans through consultation with Education Consultants and families.
- Develop, market, and oversee specialised service packages encompassing boarding school applications, summer camps, and guardianship services.
- Ensure academic guardianship services are effectively implemented for families with such packages, keeping students on track academically.
- Promote British Pre-university education to prospective parents both in the UK and China, sharing relevant experience, insights, and updates within the team to stay abreast of industry changes.
- Facilitate premium services for families, which may include excursions like school visits and airport pickups.
Required Skills/Competencies
- Education, Qualifications and Language: Undergraduate or Master Degree from top UK universities; Minimum of 2 yearsβ experience in the UK independent school advisory role & perfect understanding of UK independent school admissions process, including timelines, requirements and the experience of matching students; Experience in facing Asian families and understand their certain expectations and ways of thinking and communication; Preferred: with solid tracking records of sending students to top UK Independent Schools.
- Skills: Outstanding time and resource management skills; Exceptional people management skills; Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and in Asian culture; Dedication, independence, adaptability and maturity.
Remuneration
- Base salary: from Β£30,000 depending on experience.
- Tuition fee paid on each completed lesson + Commission on each completed service package.
- Flexible working hours (subject to performance).
- Annual salary and bonus review.
