We have a great opportunity for a Communications and Marketing Officer to join our corporate communications team to lead on adult social care. You will work within a council whose purpose is to improve people’s lives and which champions its values of being bold, empowered, supportive, and transparent.
About The Role
The successful candidate will join an experienced and friendly team of corporate communications professionals who showcase the work of services across the council. Reporting to the Corporate Communications Manager, you will work with colleagues in Adult Social Care who have ambitious plans for the future. You will be responsible for all aspects of delivering communications and engagement activities and campaigns relevant to a broad range of adult social care services provided and commissioned by the council’s dedicated Adult Social Care teams. We are looking for a communications professional who enjoys working in partnership and collaborating with others to achieve the best results. This will include highlighting the council’s achievements and their impacts on improving residents’ lives, alongside promoting initiatives such as Shared Lives and the Community Wellbeing Hub. Additionally, the role involves communicating and engaging with a wide range of social care and health partners and providers, working collaboratively to ensure key messages are disseminated.
About You
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in communications, marketing, or design; knowledge of local government, community, or health settings; excellent oral and written communication skills; and digital content creation skills, including video production.
