We are currently recruiting for a professional, family-led company based in the Dover/Deal area for a permanent Senior Residential Support Worker. This organisation delivers high levels of quality care through a variety of services which promote the well-being and development of children placed with them. Through support from their highly dedicated, skilled staff team, their children will have the best opportunities to succeed and achieve positive outcomes in all areas of their life.

We are looking for someone with a good sense of humour, initiative, integrity, and honesty who can also offer enthusiasm and commitment to the children.

Main Duties:

  • Being part of a team offering a comprehensive residential service to children and young people.
  • Ensuring the physical, social, and emotional care and development of the young residents.
  • Establishing and leading your shift as a senior.

The Specifics:

  • The role reports to the Registered Manager/Responsible Person.
  • Rate of Pay: £12.75 currently rising to £13.75 April 2024.
  • Hours: Negotiable.
  • Enhanced DBS.
  • Holiday: 28 days paid holiday (full time).
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma (QCF) qualified in Children Young People’s Workforce - essential.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience.
  • Good understanding of the needs of young children in residential care.
  • Knowledge of multi-agency working carried out within Children’s homes.
  • Knowledge of Quality standards.
  • An understanding of the principles of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people.
  • Reporting and recording to a high standard.

Other Requirements:

  • Full driving licence is preferred.
  • All Mandatory and specialist training to be attended as directed.
  • Staff meetings and clinical supervision groups to be attended.
  • Supervision to be attended as directed.
