We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in drones, reality capture, GIS, and geospatial technologies. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a deep understanding of cutting-edge geospatial data solutions and a passion for expanding market reach. You will drive growth, identify new opportunities, and build lasting client relationships in the rapidly evolving geospatial technology industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Expansion & Client Engagement: Identify and develop strategic business opportunities within the drone, reality capture, and geospatial markets. Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, infrastructure developers, construction firms, and environmental agencies. Lead client meetings, presentations, and technical demonstrations to secure new business. Collaborate with marketing teams to craft compelling proposals and pitch innovative geospatial solutions.
  • Technical Expertise & Solution Development: Understand client needs to provide tailored drone and geospatial technology solutions, including aerial mapping, reality capture, and 3D modelling. Leverage your knowledge of GIS, photogrammetry, LiDAR, and geospatial analytics to support technical sales. Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Sales Strategy & Pipeline Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan to achieve revenue targets. Track sales metrics, analyse market data, and refine sales strategies to optimize growth. Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to align client expectations with operational capabilities. Provide market feedback to product development teams to influence future technology offerings. Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to increase brand visibility.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in business development or technical sales, preferably in the drone, GIS, or geospatial technology sectors.
  • Strong understanding of drone operations, reality capture, GIS, and remote sensing technologies.
  • Proficiency in geospatial data processing software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, Pix4D, Bentley ContextCapture).
