Based in Havant, Hampshire

Salary: £12.00 per hour

Our Client is a professional, hardworking woman with a physical disability who is now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Female Personal Assistant to join her team. This role is to enable her to live an independent life.

As a Personal Assistant/Carer, you will provide all aspects of care as directed by the client within her own home, which she shares with her dog.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

1. Assisting with personal care – this role is only open to Female applicants
2. Supporting with meal preparation
3. Supporting light cleaning
4. Assisting our client to attend appointments and go shopping
5. Assisting with pushing a manual wheelchair on dog walks
6. Being flexible to cover annual leave or short-term absences of team members

Qualities required:

• Empathetic and caring nature
• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
• Excellent communication skills – fluent written and spoken English
• Ability to learn and meet the client’s specific needs
• Reliable with good time-keeping skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Hygienic and well-presented
• Non-smoker

Hours:

• Monday: 07:00-08:00 and 17:30-19:00
• Tuesday: 07:00-08:00
• Wednesday: 07:00-08:00 and 17:30-18:30
• Thursday: 07:00-08:00 and 17:30-19:00
• Saturday: 08:00-09:30

Additional hours may be available to cover team members’ leave or to accompany our client to appointments. The rota is produced six weeks in advance, so you will be informed of required hours accordingly.

NB: Due to the intimate nature of some aspects of this role, under the Equality ACT 2010, this position is subject to an Occupational Needs Exemption, and only Females should apply.

Experience is preferable but not essential; willingness to develop appropriate skills is required.
