My client is one of the world's leading forensic consultancies, privately owned, with multiple offices across the UK. They are currently seeking a skilled Road Traffic Collision Investigator to join their growing forensic RTC team.
The Role - Forensic Road Traffic Collision Investigator:
- Examine scenes and vehicles involved, ensuring all evidence is recorded, often requiring sophisticated mapping and photographic equipment.
- Ensure meticulous collection, preservation, and interpretation of evidence, including vehicle defects and telematic data, to accurately report on collision circumstances.
- Produce reconstruction reports explaining how events unfolded.
- Identify the need for additional resources or specialist knowledge to aid forensic examination or reconstruction.
- Present findings in court as a qualified expert.
Minimum Skills / Experience Required:
- Clear, confident communication, with the ability to explain technical information backed by comprehensive, unbiased reports.
- Effective internal and external communication skills via face-to-face meetings, phone/video calls, and emails.
Ideally, you will:
- Hold a good honours degree in engineering or a science-based field.
- Be progressing towards Chartered status in a relevant discipline.
- Possess a higher degree (e.g., MSc or PhD) — desirable.
- Be capable of completing a day's site work, which may include physical exertion.
- Demonstrate clear communication skills for conveying technical concepts to individuals with lesser expertise, verbally and in writing.
- Be willing to accommodate unpredictable work hours.
- Have several years of postgraduate experience.
