Our Client is a director lead and client focused building services and sustainability consultancy, supporting construction professionals to deliver cost effective and energy efficient engineering solutions. Incorporating a range of services which include M&E design, utilities strategy, carbon footprint reduction and building performance analysis, the business is perfectly placed to advise and manage projects of all shapes, sizes and sectors.
Sustainable buildings very much sit at the heart of this intelligent practice, asking the important questions and pushing the boundaries to ensure new and refurbishment sites are as lean and green as possible. With the demand ever increasing for sustainable design and low carbon buildings, a position has been created to join the Sustainability Team at a time of exciting growth.
The role of Sustainability Consultant will focus strongly on collating key information to perform BREEAM Assessments. A BREEAM assessment uses recognised measures of performance, which are set against established benchmarks, to evaluate a building’s specification, design, construction and use. The measures used represent a broad range of categories and criteria from energy to ecology.
Applications are invited from current Sustainability Consultant who are experienced in BREEAM or Building Physics, with a strong understanding of the energy sector and the challenges that the wider construction industry faces on a daily basis. Whilst this role is not a graduate or trainee position, training is available and support will be offered to enhance qualifications and accreditations where needed in order to become a fully qualified BREEAM AP.
Working from their West Yorkshire offices on the outskirts of North Yorkshire, the appointed candidate can look forward to working in a friendly closely-knit team or circa 10 people. As a relatively small SME practice the position will likely best suit an individual who appreciates the many advantages of working in an independent consulting environment, void of the politics or larger corporate life.
