GrantsNow is owned by Fusion Practices Limited, a leading IT consultancy based in Farringdon, London with over 300+ consultants across the globe. We deliver Finance & HR transformations across Higher education, financial services, insurance, banking, construction, and the public sector.
Overview of the role:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Pre-Awards administration, excellent communication skills, experience in the research or higher education sector, data analysis, and an overall understanding of research funding processes. This role is key in managing client relationships, ensuring an excellent user journey, and providing analytical support to optimise the pre-award processes in our software.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of using the latest AI tools and technologies to transform how Grants Management is delivered in our SaaS platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with clients to analyze current pre-award systems and processes.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with research administrators, faculty, and stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges.
- Gather and document business requirements.
- Provide training and support to end-users on system functionalities and updates.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings for feedback and alignment on system enhancements.
- Translate business requirements into specifications for system improvements with our development team.
- Support and train users, addressing issues promptly.
- Participate in project teams supporting pre-award initiatives and system improvements.
- Occasional UK travel to meet clients onsite.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in system administration, preferably in research or academic environments.
- Strong understanding of research funding processes and pre-award administration.
- Proficiency in research administration systems management.
- Excellent analytical skills for interpreting data and generating insights.
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and data integrity.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, demonstrating initiative.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is desirable.
