A leading IBM Partner is on the lookout for an experienced IBM Power Consultant to join their team on an initial 3–6 month contract, with strong potential for extension or a permanent opportunity.

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Remote (UK-based) with occasional travel to client sites

Rate: Competitive / DOE

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Contract Length: 3–6 months initially

About the Role: You’ll play a key role in delivering and supporting IBM Power Systems solutions across a range of enterprise clients. This is a hands-on technical role, ideal for someone confident in modern and legacy IBM Power tech stacks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering IBM Power Systems solutions with a focus on IBM i / iSeries / AS400
  • Supporting cloud migration projects, particularly with IBM Power Virtual Server (PowerVS)
  • Troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and system upgrades
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support client requirements and deliverables

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in IBM Power Systems, particularly IBM i / iSeries / AS400
  • Strong knowledge of IBM PowerVS (Power Virtual Server) and cloud architecture
  • A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting with flexibility for site visits
