We’re exclusively partnered with one of the UK’s most exciting store-based retail brands. Known for their distinctive in-store experience, growing national footprint, and strong repeat customer base. With ambitious expansion plans and the backing of experienced investors, they’re entering a key phase of scale.

As Finance Director, you’ll report directly to the Founder and take full ownership of the finance function, both strategically and operationally. This is a pivotal leadership role, influencing decision-making at board level while overseeing and developing a high-performing finance team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as a key commercial partner to the Founder and leadership team, providing strategic financial insight
  • Lead the finance function, ensuring robust reporting, controls, and compliance
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow across multi-site operations
  • Drive margin improvement and cost control across the P&L, including store-level performance
  • Prepare investor materials and board packs, and support future fundraising initiatives
  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations including management accounts, statutory reporting, and payroll
  • Build and mentor a growing finance team, supporting structure and scalability
  • Introduce systems, processes, and financial discipline to underpin growth

What we’re looking for:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, with post-qualification experience in a consumer-facing, retail, or multi-site environment
  • Track record of leading finance in a growing business, ideally with private equity or founder-led exposure
  • Strong commercial mindset and ability to partner with cross-functional teams (e.g. ops, retail, marketing)
  • Equally comfortable in the detail and influencing at board level
  • Experience in a store-led or multi-channel retail business strongly preferred
