What You’ll Be Doing / How You’ll Be Involved
In this role, you will support both revenue and capital budget forecasting and have prior experience in developing annual budgets in a large complex organization. You will ensure accurate financial postings to the ledger of income, expenditure, and corrective postings, and be confident in preparing and posting journals and virements.
You will demonstrate a strong understanding of the financial policies and framework in which the council operates. You will be able to prepare working papers and coordinate financial postings as part of the end of year closing of accounts.
The right individual will have strong communication skills and will be able to evidence experience working as a partner to challenge, facilitate, manage, and drive performance improvements, including explaining complex financial information to key stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
