An exciting new position has arisen in Ross-Shire, in the North of Scotland, on an Arable Farm specialising in High Grade Seed Potatoes and cereals. This is a varied and exciting opportunity for an experienced person, and possibly their partner too.
Required:
- A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail, and pride in your work.
- Preferably a PA1, PA2, and any other PAs, Forklift certificates, and any other relevant qualifications an advantage, but training will be given if required.
- A willingness to work overtime when required, but it is equally important to have down time as well, and a busy work/life balance is essential.
Roles:
- Ploughing, destoning, spraying, would be the key roles, but could be asked to do pulverising potato haulm, combining, potato harvesting, run grading shed in the event of holiday cover, and any other jobs.
- The right candidate would get to drive our newest purchase, a fully equipped Case CVX 220 with all the bells and whistles.
- For the right candidate, the wage would be in excess of the Agricultural wages board.
- A beautiful, idyllic 2-bedroom detached cottage with oil fired central heating, double glazing, and wood burning stove with scenic views to die for, with free Wi-Fi and telephone.
- Amenities very close by, including a primary school, post office/shop, golf course, pub, eateries, and stunning sandy beach.
