About Position and Details: Role: Windows Automation Engineer Location: Harbour Exchange Square, London Onsite: 2 to 3 days in the office Job Type: Full-time Contract role (Initially for 6 months) Responsibilities: Workflow:Develop a workflow from receiving requests for new applications or packages from users to sourcing, scanning for security vulnerabilities, and making them available on Nexus. Automation:Automate processes or provide scripts for users to download and install required packages onto VDI environments. Monitoring and Maintenance:Monitor the currency of tools/packages to ensure the latest versions are available or decommission obsolete tools. Collaboration:Work closely with Infrastructure, Vulnerability/Security, L2, and dependent CLS teams to define and operationalize processes. Documentation:Create and maintain documentation supporting the processes and user guides for installation and troubleshooting. Innovation:Stay updated with latest technologies and best practices in platform engineering and tool development. Security:Implement security and sourcing compliance measures from identification to availability on Nexus. Training and Support:Provide training and support to team members to support this service and reduce resource dependency. Technical Skills: Experience with Windows PowerShell, Nexus, automation workflow tools, VDI, application packaging, and automation.
