Cotswold Talent Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Swindon for experiencedClass 1 Trunk Driversto join their growing team.

This is atemp to perm opportunity, offering consistent night work and a stable Monday to Friday shift pattern. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations.

Duties

• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and comply with all relevant regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving.
• Strong knowledge of delivery routes and logistics processes.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy items when necessary.
• ValidC+E (Class 1) Licence
• Driver CPCandDigital Tacho Card
