The role As a Scottish Touring Pilot, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Headquartered in Staverton, Gloucestershire, BMCSO is a leading provider of aviation services for mission-critical operations across ten countries. Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities: The position as a Scottish Touring Pilot offers varied and challenging flying across a range of disciplines including HEMS and NVIS operations. The successful candidate will be required to maintain the highest standards of professional expertise and safety throughout the conduct of this challenging role. This role is full time, 42.5 hours per week and is based at our Aberdeen/Perth bases; the candidate should ideally live within 45 minutes of either location. Essential experience of the Scottish Touring Pilot: 1000 hours Pilot in Command/ Captain of aircraft of which 500 hours is Pilot in Command on twin turbine helicopters; or 1000 hours as co-pilot in HEMS/Police operations of which 500 hours is as Pilot in Command Under Supervision and 100 hours pilot in command of twin turbine helicopters. 2000 hours minimum total helicopter experience. 500 hours operating experience in twin turbine helicopters in an operational environment similar to the intended operation. 20 hours VFR at night as pilot in command. Qualifications for the Scottish Touring Pilot: Hold a UK ATPL(H) or CPL(H) + IR Class 1 Medical Ideally, already hold a Type Rating on either an EC135 or H145 Fluent English, Driving License, Passport, Right to Work in the UK. Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
