Senior Exposure Management Analyst
Salary: Circa Β£70,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Exposure Management Team at Aviva. This role is for someone who has extensive experience in exposure management / catastrophe modelling, who is looking to take the next step in their career!
The Crisis Management class of business at Aviva is newly set up, and encompasses A&H, Contingency (a new class for 2024) and Political Violence & Terrorism (a new class for 2025).
A bit about the job:
The role will support management of our exposures in the Crisis Management class of business written by UKGI across the globe. Working with representatives from across the business you will be delivering improvements in the availability and accuracy of our exposure data, providing insights that inform our underwriting strategy and reinsurance placement. The position will include improving existing reporting processes to make them more efficient and give underwriters more meaningful insight. You will also work with partners across the business to ensure data is complete and accurate, whilst working with more junior members of the team to help them grow.
Skills and experience we\βre looking for:
- Extensive experience within an Exposure management / Catastrophe Modelling team is essential; experience in political violence, terror, contingency or Accident & Health classes of business would be desirable
- Practical experience of portfolio roll-up, implementing control frameworks, MI design, reporting and communication
- Strong understanding of key mathematical and statistical concepts, and of CAT metrics such as PMLs and AALs
- Attention to detail, with an inquisitive, analytical mind-set β a passion for pulling things apart and understanding both how they work and how they get used
- Experience in working within an appropriate control framework to ensure robust delivery of figures for reporting desirable

- Salary circa Β£70,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
