Right now, we’re looking for Sr Data Architect to join our team at Globant!
About the Role:
You will operate as a lead for the adoption, design, implementation and integration of cloud solutions with a particular focus on GCP and API/Microservices Front-end architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Define Guardrails and Patterns
- Participate in design and automation of cloud solutions
- Design enterprise cloud integration strategies
- Lead the design and building of the pillars of a data platform and data products through example
- Build data platforms from scratch instead of using built ones out-of-the-box such as Snowflake or Databricks
- Expert in using DWH tools in GCP and knowing them in depth, focusing on designing and building data platforms and data products
- Develop and maintain data architecture plans aligned with business and IT strategies
- Lead the creation of reusable patterns and standards to accelerate the delivery of business products
- Collaborate with Data Platform Architects, Data Governance Architects, and other stakeholders to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability of cloud platforms
- Ensure cloud platforms integrate seamlessly across different providers
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing data solutions on Google Cloud Platform
- Experience implementing microservices and API Gateways
- Familiarity with Data Mesh, Kafka, or Pub/Sub in the GCP domain
- Experience with Big Data Warehouses such as BigQuery or RedShift
