We are working with a very successful fashion business who are seeking an innovative Multi-Category Garment Technologist on a part time basis with experience in soft intimates, underwear, socks, and sleepwear, ideally across multiple genders. The ideal candidate is creative, skilled in grade fitting, and passionate about achieving perfect fit and sizing. You\’ll drive innovation, redefine technical specs, and set new industry standards, ensuring our garments excel in quality, fit, comfort, and performance. Based in Liverpool, this role would start as part time 2-3 days a week with potential to increase to full time. Main Responsibilities will Include: Lead fit sessions, focusing on enhancing garment comfort and functionality. Creating detailed technical specifications, garment construction guidelines, and measurement charts for production teams to follow, ensuring consistency and accuracy in garment construction. Coordinating with suppliers and external laboratories to conduct fabric and trim testing for properties such as colourfastness, shrinkage, and durability, ensuring materials meet performance requirements. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of internal processes, manuals, grading, and other documentation. Identifying and resolving technical issues related to garment construction, fit, and quality during the development and production stages Liaising with factories and their sourcing office to communicate technical requirements, resolve production issues, and ensure compliance with company standards and specifications. Critical Path management. Conduct ad hoc AQL and quality inspections as needed. Assist in the approval of shipment samples, ensuring fit and quality align with the sealed Pre-Production samples. Update internal documents, including grading and sizing work, as necessary. Person Specifications: Previous experience working across soft intimates, underwear, socks, and sleepwear, ideally across multiple genders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good understanding of garment construction. Ability to work under pressure and to key deadlines on the Critical Path. Able to give clear concise written comments to factories.
