In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the content and delivery of our programming, working closely with presenters to create compelling and engaging speech radio. You will assist the Managing Editor in evolving and elevating LBC’s editorial proposition, ensuring our content resonates with audiences and maintains our reputation for excellence. 3 best things about the job Working on one of the UK’s leading news and opinion brands and collaborating with presenters/producers. Measures of success: In the first few months, you would have: Developed a strong leadership role within the LBC team. Gained a thorough understanding of the LBC brand. Led effective planning sessions. Worked alongside the digital, video, and newsgathering teams to deliver outstanding output. Responsibilities of the role Work closely with presenters and producers to create high-impact shows, ensuring content is timely, relevant, and engaging. Provide editorial oversight in high-pressure environments, pushing boundaries to elevate LBC\’s coverage of breaking news and major stories. Build strong relationships with presenters to enhance their on-air performance. Support individual programmes, aligning content with LBC’s priorities. Demand high standards of editorial rigor, fostering innovation and developing emerging talent to expand audience reach. Stay informed on current affairs and emerging trends to coach presenters and producers. Use audience insights and analytics to make editorial decisions that amplify impact and grow influence. Represent LBC externally, advocating for the editorial vision and building stakeholder relationships. What you will need: The ideal candidate will be proactive, innovative, and capable of: Having a minimum of 5 years in broadcasting, with experience in agenda-setting editorial content and working with leading presenters. Collaborating effectively with on-air talent and editorial staff. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. A strong understanding of digital media and audience engagement strategies.
