Job summary
Responsible for the origination, structuring, documentation and execution of Trade Finance and Working Capital products (Receivables and Supply Chain Finance) to Corporate and Institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the origination of Global Trade Finance (GTF) products, including but not limited to, Letters of Credit, Bonds/Guarantees, Receivables and Supply Chain Financing to Corporates and to Financial Institutions.
- Lead the full end to end sales process from origination, structuring, documentation to execution for new transactions.
- Promote Inbound and Outbound business with Corporates and Financial Institutions, liaising as appropriate with CA-CIB network.
- Promoting the continuing/increased utilisation of established facilities by regular contact/calling on clients.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments within the industry, Fintech / innovation and with CA-CIB products for this market.
- Producing call reports of client meetings, plus pitch documentation (as and when required) to update and disseminate information to clients.
- Ensure compliance on budget, financial control, RPC, audit and regulatory requirements as appropriate for the job description.
- Preparing the half-year and annual forecast. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts (income, assets, and expenses).
- Monitoring monthly income to budget.
- Cross Selling within ITB and other product lines of Credit Agricole Group.
Risk
- Managing the credit sanctioning process by preparing credit applications and presenting such applications to the relevant ITB committee.
- Assisting Coverage in the preparation of Credit Applications (Corporates/Banks) and advice in relation to proposed levels of participation.
- Ensuring that all necessary waiver requests and amendments are prepared and submitted to the Risk Department.
- Assess transactions (structure, reputation, technical, operational).
- Provide timely advice to the Credit Department of any changes in the quality of deals/transactions.
Counterparties and clients
- Maintain and enhance relationships with other Financial Institutions involved with Trade Finance and ITB products.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients and target new clients in keeping with the business plan (in conjunction with Coverage) to help achieve a higher penetration of the UK market place.
