We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join a team, specialising in the fabrication of heat-resistant ducting for industrial and commercial applications. This is a workshop-based role involving the use of CNC cutting machines and press brake equipment, with a focus on precision and high-temperature metalwork. You'll be working with materials such as stainless steel and other heat-tolerant alloys.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate bespoke heat-resistant ducting and components to technical drawings
- Operate CNC machines and press brakes for cutting and forming sheet metal
- Work with high-grade materials (e.g. stainless steel, aluminised steel, Inconel)
- Carry out assembly, and finishing of ducting systems
- Ensure all work meets required safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines and project requirements
- Proven experience as a sheet metal fabricator, ideally with heat-resistant ducting or industrial HVAC
- Proficient in CNC machine operation and press brake forming preferred, semi-skilled welcome!
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Experience working with stainless steel and similar alloys
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team
- Relevant trade qualifications or time-served apprenticeship desirable
