Were currently recruiting for a Operations Supervisor to be based in our customer site in Derby. As part of this busy operation, youll ensure the timely and safe dispatch of drivers across a 4 on 4 off shift pattern covering AM or PM shift.

Were looking to offer a salary of up to £29,952per annum. In addition, we offer 20 days holiday, as well as the option to buy additional days. What youll do on a typical day:

  • Support the Operations Manager in their daily duties
  • Management of Core Fleet Drivers & Subcontract Haulier drivers
  • Deputise for Operations Manager as required
  • Ensure quality control of, all subcontractors and suppliers including XPO Team in the Warehouse
  • Foster, maintain and improve relationships with colleagues throughout XPO and

with other depots.

  • Raising training needs and requirements to Operations Manager
  • To ensure all company procedures and processes are being followed by operators
  • Any other reasonable duties as required by the Operations Manager
  • Debriefing drivers and porters
  • To undertake any relevant training events in line with own personal development

needs and business requirements

  • Work with Fleet Administrator to ensure vehicles/trailers are inspected/Serviced/MOT

within agreed service schedules.

  • To undertake any other reasonable task as required.
  • To maintain fleet standard and act on defects
  • To ensure tachograph records are up to date
  • To act upon personal and road traffic accidents

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • Previous experience within a transport / logistics organisation
  • Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast moving

Environment

  • CPC* would be desirable
  • Working knowledge of driver hours regulations
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
