The Role of Service Delivery Manager

  • Field Engineer Support – Ensure engineers have the necessary resources, tools, and information to carry out maintenance and project work efficiently.
  • Maintenance Coordination – Oversee planned maintenance schedules for CHP units, ground source heat pumps, and air source heat pumps, ensuring timely servicing and system reliability.
  • Breakdown Management – Act as the first point of contact for urgent repairs, coordinating rapid response efforts and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Parts Procurement – Source and manage the inventory of essential components, working with suppliers to secure cost-effective and timely deliveries.
  • Client Liaison – Communicate with clients to schedule maintenance, provide updates on ongoing work, and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Project Support – Assist in the planning and execution of low-carbon energy projects, ensuring smooth operations from design to implementation.
  • Operational Efficiency – Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize service quality.

The Right Service Delivery Manager

  • Experience in operations support, engineering coordination, or maintenance planning, ideally within the energy, engineering, or maintenance sectors.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience in sourcing and procurement of technical parts and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, particularly when handling breakdowns and urgent maintenance issues.
  • Knowledge of technical equipment servicing, ideally including low-carbon energy systems, CHP, ground source heat pumps, and air source heat pumps, is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in ERP or maintenance management systems is a plus.
