As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be key to the successful delivery of system implementations. Working within our Enforcement team, you will be helping the software teams deliver their services with your expertise. You will be involved in the continuous deployment of changes into pre-production and production environments.

We are looking for a candidate that has the following experience:

  • Experience of being a full stack developer maintaining and expanding in a sustainable manner existing systems.
  • Experience designing and improving new and existing systems using a variety of architectural patterns.
  • Experience with cloud-hosted systems.
  • Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience in setting up and configuring infrastructure using automation, including Microsoft Windows Server and Linux environments.
  • Experience with unit and functional testing.

The following skills would be desirable and a good advantage as the role progresses:

  • Experience with both on-premise and cloud solutions.
  • Experience using TDD, BDD or contract testing.
  • Experience in building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in using Docker to package and deploy code.
  • Experience with Python scripting.
  • Experience of designing and implementing event-driven or message-driven architectures using publish-subscriber mechanisms.
