CAMM Systems Design Engineer

About the Role An exciting opportunity has opened for a Systems Design Engineer to join a high-performing team working on enhancements to an established missile defence system. You\’ll play a key part in system redesign due to obsolescence, contributing to a long-term programme with wide scope and technical depth. This role involves cross-functional collaboration across the full system lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, integration, and certification. What You\’ll Do Lead systems design activities at the missile/system level within the obsolescence programme Coordinate and manage design assurance and certification planning Develop and deliver bid strategies and technical documentation Drive technical trade studies and engage multiple subsystem stakeholders Work across engineering, integration, and verification functions What We\’re Looking For Strong background in systems engineering, including: Requirements management and use case analysis System architecture and interface definition Design assurance, verification planning, and certification Proficiency in DOORS for requirements and verification module management Strong analytical and documentation skills Effective communicator with good time management Motivated to develop and improve systems engineering methods Benefits Package Annual bonus of up to £2,500 (based on company performance) Competitive pension scheme – employer/employee contributions up to 14% Paid overtime and flexible leave (up to 15 additional days) Enhanced parental and family-related leave (maternity, paternity, adoption, fertility treatments, etc.) Excellent on-site facilities including subsidised meals and free parking Support for flexible working arrangements Salary: Up to £57,000 (depending on experience) Location: Hybrid (2-3 days per week on-site due to project sensitivity)
