The Opportunity
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team and ensure that our products consistently meet the highest standards for safety, performance, and regulatory compliance.
The role
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a vital part in our quality assurance processes, conducting inspections, maintaining documentation, and supporting key quality initiatives that promote operational excellence.
Rate £40,000 to £50,000
Your Duties and Responsibilities will be:
- Review and interpret Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and QA/NDT documentation.
- Conduct visual inspections, weld fit-up checks, and cleanliness audits.
- Verify proper application of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and welder qualifications.
- Maintain traceability of materials and ensure inspection tools are properly calibrated.
- Collaborate with Managers and Project Leads to meet QA requirements for specific projects.
- Manage quality documentation in accordance with the Combined Management System (CMS).
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
- Experience in Project Quality, Quality Control, and Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or those in the Nuclear and Automotive sectors.
- Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies such as PPAP, MSA, GR&R, and process mapping.
- Strong skills in supplier management, contract review, and interpretation of specifications.
- Proficient in problem-solving and root cause analysis.
