Consilium Recruit are supporting a global manufacturing business supplying a wide range of sectors with precision engineered systems and moulded plastic products. They are seeking an R&D Engineer on a permanent basis to join the team and support new design projects to meet customer requirements. The role offers excellent development and career progression opportunities.
Salary: Circa £35,000 p.a. + pension + company benefits

The Role: The R&D Engineer will liaise with Sales, Quality, Production and Manufacturing Engineering sectors, making sure that the goals and plans for finishing product design, producing prototype samples, and defining component specifications are attained and effectively handed to the Manufacturing and Production teams. You will organise design projects from their inception and viability to their release and sale, through generating and controlling technical drawings in SolidWorks, and you will be involved in 3D modelling, detailed drawings, and collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering to fulfil the design specifications provided by either production or customer specification.
The Person: As the R&D Engineer you will have proven Project Management experience with customer facing and presentation skills. You will be a proficient report writer with the ability to analyse and present data from findings to determine future actions. The R&D Engineer will be someone with a technically focused Degree, HNC or HND where you have developed CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks, or similar CAD software. Most essentially, you desire to advance your career in a dynamic and flexible company. You will have industrial experience working in a maintenance, process, or manufacturing environment.
