The Role:

Acting as a Senior Consultant at Transform, you will be working on a variety of consulting projects to help our clients solve their knotty challenges. You will be using your problem-solving skills and objective thinking in any number of our different industry areas, including but not limited to: local government, transport, trade, justice and health. As a Senior Consultant, you’ll have responsibility and ownership of key areas, with a focus on helping build our capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Playing an active role in fee-earning client engagements and, when free, on internal projects that help to develop Transform’s consulting practice. Working on deliverables and positive outcomes for the client, taking responsibility, and supporting colleagues. Understanding the variety of roles that make up delivery and proactively stretching yourself by taking on new challenges. Honing skills through active learning, practice and working effectively with others.
  • Management of delivery engagements: With oversight from our Principal Consultants and/or Directors, working up to and/or taking responsibility for day-to-day management on client engagements. Demonstrating the ability to step up at short notice. Providing less formal leadership or guidance to others when needed.
  • Personal development and helping others: Refining your capability in both the breadth and depth of skills required for consultancy. Developing own preferences and strengths. Showing how your skills contribute to the whole. Proactively seeking opportunities to support others. Taking every available opportunity to learn through the work you do. Planning and executing personal development objectives and goals.
  • Supporting Transform’s growth and culture: Identifying new opportunities through the network or current clients. Opening doors to close yourself off or leveraging others. Getting involved with sales and proposals to develop skills and understanding. Communicating the Transform brand, values and experience. Supporting new colleagues on client/internal assignments. Identifying potential new colleagues. Acting in recognition of our combined strength and being greater than the sum of our parts.

Key Skills/Experiences:

  • Strong awareness and experience of working in at least one of the following environments: strategy, change management/transformation, research, stakeholder engagement, innovation and analysis, with an interest in developing your skills to support strategy and change programmes
  • Good problem-solving, analytical skills and rigorous approach to challenges. Thinking objectively, you will be able to synthesise information and insight, working collaboratively with data and technical colleagues, to develop robust, defendable solutions and recommendations to achieve goals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, calm under pressure and emotionally resilient, with a focus on effective relationship management
  • Strong presentation, writing, communication and analytical skills, with a clear demonstration of excellent listening and questioning skills
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and supporting the management of projects
  • Integrity and presence, we are looking for someone who is self-motivated and keen to make a difference
  • A collaborative, pragmatic and flexible ‘can-do’ attitude with a curious and inquisitive approach to work
  • Some experience in performing reviews and analysis, and evaluating impact and options
  • Awareness and interest in objectively evaluating organisations from understanding stakeholder needs, auditing assets and capabilities, and identifying future technology, skills and culture
  • An enthusiasm about digital and how it affects companies and individuals

Our culture is built on:

  • Being one team, looking out for each other as a team
  • The world never stops changing, and we’ll never stop learning
  • Infinity & Beyond; we’re crazy ambitious, not afraid to fail along the way (it’s just falling with style)
  • Integrity is everything; we’re honest with each other and with our clients
  • Diversity is our superpower; everyone’s story is different, and we celebrate differences
  • We’re all in; we take on tough, complex challenges with lots of moving parts and we’re committed to the work, our clients and each other

Our benefits include:

  • Holiday entitlement, 28 days with the option to buy/sell up to 5 days
  • Day off (on or in the week of) your birthday
  • Pension eligibility, up to 5% matched contributions
  • Life assurance
  • Enhanced maternity and enhanced paternity and shared parental leave
  • Cycle to work & electric car schemes
  • A range of other benefits from our flexible benefits package
