About the role

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Claim Third Party Management, the role will be responsible for the management of the Claims Vendor function for AIG International business. Claim Vendors include Legal Vendors (law firms) and Non Legal Vendors (claim adjusting support third parties). The role will focus on leading the function in establishing/managing all strategic Claim Vendor panels across UK, EMEA, APAC, LAC ensuring all contracts, rates, billing processes are implemented and managed correctly.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Manage the International Claim Third Party team, to oversee the end-to-end acquisition of panel Claim Vendors, who support claim adjudication and litigation commodities. This shall include:
  • Oversee/negotiate commercial contracts from AIG’s Claim Vendor contract template with Claims Vendors to be a preferred AIG Claim panel Vendor;
  • Lead Claim Vendor pricing negotiations;
  • Document and summarize the agreed commercial terms accurately;
  • Oversee the collection and storage of all required due diligence documentation in line with the team’s standard operating process.
  • Lead discussions with Claim leadership to develop Claims Vendor strategies for the establishment of Claim Vendor panels and the reducing total claim costs (Loss Adjusted Expense (LAE) reductions as well as Indemnity based savings).
  • Demonstrate project management skills and team leadership for driving forward Claim Vendor sourcing initiatives, pulling together clear project outlines and updates.
  • Collaborate with the legal department and other support groups to ensure completion of acceptable contracts.
  • Promote use of preferred Claim Vendors to promote greater standardisation, improved compliance, risk mitigation and leverage of purchasing power to increase cost savings.
  • Communicate marketplace intelligence relative to Claim Vendor capabilities, market pricing, conditions and trends, innovations, to help guide AIG claims teams to optimal use of Claim Vendors.
  • Support the management and oversight of Claims Vendor eBilling processes and bill reduction strategies.
  • What you’ll need to succeed

    • Significant experience working with Claim, and leadership roles.
    • Significant experience and expertise with a track record for the management or oversight of Claims.
    • Experience in developing and analysing detailed commercial financial propositions.
    • Experience working with commercial negotiations and drafting contracts.
    • Proactive attitude with problem-solving skills, strong logic skills and critical thinking.
    • Data-driven with skillsets for reporting and analysing data metrics.
    • Experience building strong, meaningful internal and external relationships.
    • Exhibits confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well. Excellent team building, and coaching skills.
    • Proven ability to effectively communicate data metrics and insight to key stakeholders and executives.
