Thrive Trowbridge are delighted to be working with our client in Bath who are actively seeking to engage a Caretaker to join their team on a permanent basis.
What you will be doing:
- As Caretaker, in this vital role you will be responsible for the upkeep of school premises.
- Assist in the locking up of premises, setting security alarm systems and assisting in responding to alarm call outs.
- Undertake site cleaning (interior and exterior) including restocking consumables.
- Complete all records and documentation as required including testing and managing fire alarms / safety systems.
- Report building, fixtures and fittings and maintenance issues accordingly.
- Escort contractors and service engineers on site and report on the quality of work performed.
- Ensure compliance with H&S and security regulations.
- Assist with traffic management including manning gates.
- Flexibility assisting with out of hours school events and holiday maintenance.
What you will need to succeed:
- Proven track record in a similar role, ideally from an educational setting.
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Due to the nature of the role you will be required to have a reasonable level of fitness (lifting, climbing ladders etc).
- A good level of IT knowledge.
What you will receive in return:
- To £26,409 DOE.
- Full-time Monday to Friday, 37 hour week (please note hours - 2pm to 10pm four days a week and 2pm to 9.30pm the other).
- Generous holiday entitlement.
