Mechanical/ Electronics/Mechatronics Test EngineerLocation: Dundee, Scotland (based in Dundee – Hybrid)A position is available for an Engineer required to work within the Solution Test and Compliance Team based in Dundee. This team supports all test and certification activities across engineering development of complex ATM banking machines that are distributed worldwide.Most projects are managed cross-functionally – this role with work with teams including: Test, Quality, Engineering, Product Design, Device Design, Marketing, Supply, etc.,Test Engineer will be responsible for driving test designs that ensure these products and devices meet specification and support product release. As a Test Engineer you will ensure that test plans and specifications are developed for Hardware product solutions and conduct independent tests focused on \”test-to-fail\” objectives. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills, understand the importance of attention to detail and have excellent written and spoken communication skills.ResponsibilitiesEnsure that Test and Validation Plans are agreed upfront and incorporated into Project Plans and product engineering development activities.Be a key contributor in the development and production of Device level (Unit and Component) Test specifications through to Product level (integration and acceptance) Test specifications.Plan, develop and conduct independent Device tests that include integration with other Devices and Components prior to Product IntegrationPlan, develop and conduct product level tests (integration and acceptance)Perform ATM software installations and conduct system integration testingConduct automated and manual integration, acceptance and system testsParticipate within device and product level design reviewsTest Environment set-up, test equipment, specialist media test deck development, test specificationTest equipment development, utilize robotics/automationDevelop comprehensive test scripts and scenario tests to fully validate against design specificationsIssue regular Test Status Reports and Final ReportsProvide independent input to project stage gates reviewsCollection and maintenance of test effectiveness measuresContinuous improvement activity for test process effectiveness and product quality improvementSupport ISO9001:2015 quality management system through process audits, process improvement and maintaining accreditation.Educational and BackgroundApplicants should be educated to Degree level in Mechanical/Electronics/ Mechatronics or related Engineering.Experience within and engineering development and manufacturing production environment.Full product development lifecycle exposure.Experience with product and device level testing will be idealAs an NCR Atleos employee, we provide you with several core benefits as std, as well as the opportunity to select additional discounted voluntary benefits.
