As Head of Marketing, you will oversee the development and execution of transformative marketing strategies to position the brand as a market leader. You will drive lead acquisition, boost membership retention and growth, and elevate the member experience across all brand touch points. This role is ideal for a seasoned marketing leader with a proven track record in the leisure, fitness, wellness, or health sectors, looking to create meaningful impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

The Role:

  • Salary: £60,000
  • Working Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week
  • Leave: 25 days per annum (plus bank holidays)
  • Experience: Prior work with a wellness or fitness brand is essential

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing Leadership and Strategy:

  • Define and lead the marketing vision, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives and values.
  • Develop and implement a robust, omni-channel marketing strategy to strengthen brand presence and differentiate the portfolio in a competitive market.
  • Leverage market insights, member feedback, and industry trends to refine marketing initiatives and drive long-term growth.

2. Brand Development and Campaign Management:

  • Oversee the creation of innovative, high-impact campaigns across digital, social media, email, print, and events.
  • Partner with creative teams to deliver engaging content and visually impactful marketing materials.
  • Monitor campaign performance through data analysis, optimizing strategies for maximum ROI.

3. Digital Excellence:

  • Lead the brand’s online strategy, optimizing website performance, SEO/SEM, and digital advertising efforts.
  • Ensure impactful social media campaigns to grow community engagement and support membership goals.
  • Work closely with the Social Media Manager to align content and campaigns with overall brand messaging.

4. Community and Member Engagement:

  • Cultivate strong partnerships with local businesses, influencers, and media to amplify community presence.
  • Spearhead events and activations that resonate with members, fostering a sense of belonging.
  • Collaborate with studio teams to create and promote unique programming, workshops, and challenges.

5. Membership Growth and Retention:

  • Develop targeted strategies to acquire new members while ensuring high retention rates.
  • Work with commercial teams to design compelling membership promotions and offers.
  • Utilize membership data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.

6. Team Leadership:

  • Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

7. Financial and Performance Management:

  • Drive the effective use of marketing technology, ensuring the team leverages software platforms like MBO and Hubspot to maximize results.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 4 years of strategic marketing and project management experience, with expertise in brand management, content marketing, and digital strategy.
