About the role: Working within either single or a multi-skilled Maintenance Team, you’ll be responsible for supporting all aspects of Operation, Maintenance and Testing of the Site/ Station equipment, as directed by the Maintenance Team Leader and / or Maintenance/Production engineers. You’ll operate the Hydro Generating Plant, including plant start-up and shutdowns, routine plant inspections and general operational tasks. Provide routine maintenance, operations, defect investigation and repair, modifications, inspection, testing and commissioning of all electrical/instrument equipment. Complete routine inspections and maintenance, fault finding, modifications, testing and commissioning of all electrical apparatus including switchgear, motors, control panels and batteries. Complete routine inspections and maintenance, calibration, fault finding, modification, testing and commissioning of all control and instrument equipment, PLC and SCADA systems.
Who we’re looking for: To be successful in this role you’ll need to be a time served Electrical or C&I craftsperson having followed an approved apprentice training programme. Have an ONC / HNC or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Have good knowledge and understanding of the Health, Safety & Environmental Legislation. Have demonstrable experience in operation and maintenance of rotating plant, machinery and electrical switchgear.
