This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, highly successful manufacturing company based in Telford. The role will be on a temp-to-perm basis. The Internal Account Manager role is critical to maintaining and enhancing customer relationships whilst providing essential support to the Key Account Managers. We are looking for a highly organised, customer focused person that will thrive in a fast-paced environment and who will be a team player with a positive attitude and a good sense of humour. A bachelor's degree is preferred or at least one year of account management experience is desirable.
Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to:
- Build and maintain professional relationships with a select group of customers.
- Act as a first point of contact for customer queries via phone and email, managing the shared Support inbox efficiently.
- Proactively assess and validate customer requirements, feeding information back to the wider team to improve service.
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of customer orders into the online portal and keep all system data up to date.
- Monitor arrivals and departures, coordinating collections.
- Chase and track ETAs, ensuring smooth flow through production ensuring build schedules are met.
- Generate regular reports using the online portal and customer-specific tools such as Smartsheet.
- Support the team with general administration, including managing handover documentation and updating records.
Skills and Experience
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience using Sage is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
- Highly organised with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
