Design Engineer

ROLE- Design Engineer\\n\\nLOCATION- Southampton\\n\\nTERM- Permanent\\n\\nSALARY- £25,000 – £35,000, dependent on experience \\n\\nMy client is a specialist product designer and manufacturer. They are looking for a Design Engineer to join their team in Southampton on a permanent basis.\\n\\nThe Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:\\n\\nDegree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Design, Engineering or similar\\n0-2 years’ experience in a similar Mechanical Design / Product Design / CAD Operation position\\nExperienced working with aluminium, sheet metal and precision parts   \\nPrevious experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment\\nBe proficient using 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc.\\nExcellent communication skills both verbal and written\\nProficient using MS Office\\nExcellent organisational skills and time management skills\\nHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team \\n\\n The Design Engineer role will involve:\\n\\nUsing CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings\\nProducing fabrication drawings to bespoke requirements\\nCommunicating directly with clients to determine requirements\\nLiaising with manufacturing providers\\nBeing involved in final assembly of products\\nCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans\\nUpdating 3D models and drawings\\nChecking drawings for sign off\\nWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects \\n\\n If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
