Job Description
Salary 24,027 – 24,404 per annum), variable hours, 20 hours per week Fixed Term contract until 24/10/2025 minimum, covering sickness
Lancashire County Council provide catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day and we are looking for committed individuals to join the service.
You will lead and work as part of a team within Abbey Village Primary School, producing fresh, high quality, healthy, balanced meals to school children each day. You must have previous experience in kitchens. With a proven track record in similar position.
Key responsibilities:
Cook and serve food and beverages in accordance with agreed menus and production plans.
Direct and/or supervise other employees.
Order supplies and store deliveries
Maintain records and stock control.
What we are looking for:
Recognised catering qualification and/or food hygiene certificate would be desirable.
Experience of catering for large numbers is also desirable.
Working Hours 20 per week, 4 hours per day. Monday – Friday, Term time only. Fixed Term until 24/10/2025, covering sickness.
Plus, four cleaning days.
