The role:
As a Utilities Dayshift Assistant Control Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being responsible for the Safe Operation, Management and control of all HMNB Clyde wide utilities provision. Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for High Voltage Sub Stations and distribution network with over 80 HV Switchboards and associated LV distribution, as well as:
- The management and Control of HMNB Clyde High Voltage Distribution & Generating Plant required to provide NSI electrical supplies stated above.
- As and when required, perform Line Management duties in accordance with Company Policies.
- Assist the Utilities Operations Manager in maximising the utilisation and the efficiency of all the Section’s resource.
- Ensure that work is carried out in line with current processes and make suggestions on improving systems and processes to increase productivity.
This role is full time and based onsite at Faslane.

Qualifications for the Utilities Dayshift Assistant Control Engineer:
- HNC in Engineering or equivalent.
- Proof of completion of engineering apprenticeship.
- Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
