What will you be doing?
As Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Decentralized Masters, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring long-term financial sustainability as we scale globally. Reporting to the CEO, you will be part of the leadership team driving operational excellence and our ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and oversee financial strategies aligned with company growth objectives
- Evaluate economic trends and forecast their impact on the organization
- Identify and execute opportunities for expansion into new product areas
- Lead planning processes, suggesting and implementing improvements
- Financial Management and Compliance:
- Direct the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and shareholder reports
- Ensure compliance with corporate financial laws, taxes, and risk management practices across the UAE and the US
- Supervise financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Cash Flow and Treasury Oversight:
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operations and growth
- Oversee treasury functions and investment strategies
- Lead capital-raising initiatives, including engagement with venture capital firms
- Team and Vendor Management:
- Supervise finance personnel, including accountants
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide reliable financial forecasts and reports to the executive team
- Analyze operational efficiencies and recommend optimizations
Requirements
What will you bring?
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in financial management roles; startup experience preferred
- Proven track record as CFO or similar leadership role
- Experience with investment banking, venture capital, and fundraising
- Familiarity with MENA and US corporate financial laws and tax practices
- Strong network of PE funds in USA & MENA region
- Qualifications:
- BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MSc/MBA preferred)
- Strong expertise in treasury management and financial forecasting
- Background in education or financial industries is a plus
- Skills:
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities
- Excellent knowledge of corporate finance, taxes, and risk management
- Ability to manage and lead in a remote, global setup
