The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
UKSV will be undergoing a lengthy process of revamping our library, which will involve moving a large amount of paper files for shredding. The tasks to be undertaken require a large amount of manual handling - working at height, lifting weight, bending, twisting, and pushing heavy loaded trolleys. This role will also require the use of a computer to accurately record the movement of each paper file.
We are therefore looking for people with the following skills/attributes:
- Preferably someone with previous experience of manual labour or has completed a Manual Handling/Health & Safety course
- Good IT skills (Microsoft packages or Google Suite)
- Ability to deal with confidential information and maintain confidentiality
- Comfortable with the physical demands of a role such as lifting and standing for long periods
This is a full-time role working Mon - Fri requiring 100% office attendance and will be on a contract until the end of September 2024. The Temporary Worker will provide junior management support and carry out administrative duties that are moderately complex. They will follow set procedures and will exercise some independent judgment in carrying out instructions, under general supervision.
Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:
- Preparing routine correspondence and checking that of others
- Compiling, verifying and reporting data
- Completing forms or reports
- Managing the workload of a small team, if required
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
Typical qualifications and experience:
- Five GCSE passes at Grade C or above
- Two A level passes at grade E or above or equivalent
- NVQ Management Level 3 or 4 (or suitable junior management experience)
- Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
