We’re looking for a Senior Support Worker to join a dedicated team at a well-established residential service in Liverpool, supporting male clients with a dual diagnosis background.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in substance misuse, mental health or forensic services to take a step up and play a vital role in both client recovery and team leadership.
The Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the residential service, supporting individuals with complex needs including addiction, offending behaviour, and mental health.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development of recovery-focused care plans and risk assessments
- Leading shifts and supporting junior staff
- Promoting a safe, structured, and supportive environment
- Liaising with clinical teams, probation, and partner agencies
- Supporting service users with reintegration into the community
- Ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times
About You
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- Previous experience working in substance misuse, forensic mental health, or a similar setting
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviour in a trauma-informed and compassionate manner
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable people to turn their lives around
