Senior Fund Controller
Location: London
Salary : £110,000/yr – £125,000/yr
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a leading European real estate private equity fund manager, specialising in logistics and industrial real estate across the continent.
This role offers significant exposure to high-profile transactions and the chance to play a key role in the firm’s growth and success.
The Role
As Senior Fund Controller you will report directly to the CFO and take ownership of the firm’s pan-European closed-ended products. You will lead transactions from a finance perspective, including tax and deal structuring, due diligence, treasury, and investment closings. Acting as the primary point of contact for the finance team, you will collaborate closely with the deal team and manage relationships with key service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee investment closings, including structuring, documentation review, treasury, and due diligence.
- Manage relationships with accountants, lawyers, and administrators.
- Lead all aspects of fund oversight and investor reporting.
- Support the CFO in enhancing controls and procedures.
- Manage and mentor a direct report.
- Handle ad-hoc reporting requests and assist on other products as needed.
Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with at least five years of post-qualification experience, including working on pan-European funds.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated to drive results.
- Experience in private equity real estate is preferred.
- Proven expertise in pan-European deal structuring and closing.
- Strong knowledge of European tax environments, with a desire to expand this expertise.
