We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic digital designer to join our marketing team. Working closely with the other Digital Designers and the core Design Team you will be responsible for producing and assisting in the creation and delivery of a range of campaign assets across multiple channels. The successful candidate will be a creative thinker with experience in online advertising, content creation and be familiar with emerging digital platforms as well as omni-channel marketing. You should be aware of design trends for financial services, bringing innovative approaches to our design capabilities and marketing while not being afraid to take considered risks or learn from failure. Responsibilities include:
- Work collaboratively with design partners delivering diverse ideas where common sense and simplicity prevail over complexity.
- Confidently manage and own projects from brief to deployment working with multiple stakeholders.
- Maintain strong working relationships with team members, external creative agencies and internal stakeholders to establish effective communication levels required to provide effective design advice and guidance.
- Make decisions and move quickly – don’t be afraid to fail fast, learn and start again.
- Ensure design guidelines, systems and other best practices are followed throughout the design process.
- Communicate the design rationale effectively to team members and stakeholders both verbally and visually with a convincing and engaging presentations style.
- Deliver design outcomes to stakeholders in a timely manner and efficient execution.
- Quality check and proof all design and production output to ensure completed work is error-free, meets the brief and achieves the desired design standards and brand guidelines.
- Participate in and incorporate feedback from critique accordingly.
- Responsible for the production of high-quality presentations and design work for marketing campaigns and projects.
- Enhance all designs to meet the firm wide accessibility standards.
- Ensure customers are at the heart of everything we do.
- Work with Compliance and marketing stakeholders to maintain full awareness and understanding of appropriate legislative approvals needed for relevant channels, ensuring all materials are consistent with legal conditions and codes of practice.
Requirements:
- Experience working in an in-house design studio or creative agency at mid-weight level for around 3 to 5 years.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating visual, graphical and marketing design projects.
- Experience delivering comprehensive large scale multi-channel projects with a strong consumer focus.
- Motivated and have meticulous attention to detail and good project management processes.
- Able to respond quickly to urgent requests and prioritise in an agile way with all open projects.
- Expertise in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign) – animation skills a plus.
- Knowledge of After Effects would be beneficial.
- Experience / interest creating print production collateral.
- Passionate about maintaining brand consistency.
- Calm under pressure with a positive attitude.
- An excellent team player.
- Flexibility / adaptability (ability to change direction based upon team and stakeholder consensus).
- Experience in the Atlassian suite of software (Jira & Confluence) is desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment.
