Assistant designer – Ladies Loungewear / Accessories – online ladieswear brand

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a great team of creatives and an amazing high growth online brand with ambitious future plans. Our client is a successful online ladieswear brand specialising in loungewear and accessories who are experiencing phenomenal growth and now looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Ladies loungewear Designer to join their team. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience working for a ladies loungewear brand, working with overseas suppliers and factories, tech packs, good CAD skills, and be creative.    

THE ROLE

Creating accurate and concise tech packs for suppliers, ensuring that all design details are explained clearly in order to maintain a high level of quality and accuracy on finished samples across a variety of ladies lounge wear and accessories product areas

Working c loosely with overseas suppliers and factories

Using CAD 

Assisting the Head of Design helping to build commercial and trend focused ranges in reaction to buyers’ briefs across all product areas

Assisting with the creation and development of new graphics across Ladieswear

Take ownership of designs in reaction to trade reports

Working with the Buyers team to update bestselling products across ladieswear

Researching into new trends, catwalks and ideas for new product areas and collating information into trend reports to present to directors and senior members of the team regularly

Providing administrative support to the design team.

Managing critical paths, sample trackers, chasing suppliers for new developments, keeping fabric swatch libraries updated and organised and ensuring that samples arrive on time in order to meet deadlines

Assisting with e-commerce photoshoots for upcoming products and taking ownership of styling the garments with a specific customer in mind

Monday to Thursday in head offices – Friday wfh

From £24 – £27k

Must have:

At least 2 years experience in Ladieswear Loungewear

Be creative

Good CAD skills

experienced in working with factories and suppliers overseas in China

Creating Tech Packs

Mood boards

Fashion graduate
