We are currently recruiting on behalf of a South Yorkshire based client for a Housing Compliance Manager on an interim basis. Reporting to the Head of Housing Property Services, you will be responsible for housing property compliance, supported by a high-performing, experienced compliance team. You will ensure that the housing stock is compliant with regulatory and legislative requirements, as well as the clients objectives. You will play a key role in assuring tenants, and the Senior Leadership Team on compliance with the Regulator’s Safety and Quality Standard.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage residential property compliance, including high-risk areas such as gas, electric, fire safety, lifts, legionella, and asbestos.
- Provide assurance to management that compliance measures are firmly in place to prevent incidents like fires, fatalities, and other critical risks.
- Work closely with engineers to review certificates, monitor contractor performance, and enforce immediate actions when necessary.
- Ensure 100% fire safety compliance and actively supervise contractor work to maintain standards.
Candidate Expectations:
- Extensive housing compliance experience within a housing association or local authority, particularly in residential stock.
- Desirable: NEBOSH qualification.
- Senior-level experience managing staff and reviewing the work of compliance officers.
Work Arrangement:
Office attendance expected 2 days per week, with flexibility to reduce to 1 day if required.
