PURPOSE\\nThe Purchase Ledger Assistant plays a key role in supporting the daily financial operations of the business. This position focuses on managing purchase ledger activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing essential administrative support to the Finance Manager.\\n\\nSuccess in this role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A strong foundation in administration, bookkeeping, and data analysis is essential, along with proficiency in financial systems and software.\\n\\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\\n\\n1.

Financial Record Keeping\\n\\n * Accurately maintain financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented\\n\\n * Record transactions using the company’s accounting software (NetSuite)\\n\\n2. Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable\\n\\n * Process supplier and subcontractor invoices in a timely manner\\n\\n * Liaise with Procurement to clear invoices on hold for approval\\n\\n * Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies\\n\\n * Prepare payment runs for approval and bank processing\\n\\n * Resolve supplier queries efficiently\\n\\n * Support month-end close activities\\n\\n3. Budget and Expense Management\\n\\n * Monitor and track overhead expenses against budgets\\n\\n * Review staff expense claims in line with company policy\\n\\n4.

Administrative & Operational Support\\n\\n * Maintain organised financial records for audit readiness and compliance\\n\\n * Respond promptly to internal and external financial queries\\n\\n * Provide general administrative support, including ad hoc tasks such as booking group travel (hotels, flights) and scheduling company vehicle servicing or MOTs\\n\\nSKILLS & ATTRIBUTES\\n\\n * High level of accuracy and attention to detail\\n\\n * Strong communication and interpersonal skills\\n\\n * Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines\\n\\n * Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting systems (ideally NetSuite)\\n\\n * A proactive, team-oriented attitude\\n\\n * Well-organised and adaptable, with a strong administrative and bookkeeping background\\n\\n * Competent in handling data and IT systems with analytical skills
