Head of Modern Workplace – £145,000

Nigel Frank are proud to be working with a multi-national organisation on their search for a Head of Modern Workplace.

Our client is looking to bring a Head of Modern Workplace into their team, reporting directly into the Director of Service and working very closely with the CIO. This is a pivotal role where you will own the end-to-end management of my client’s Mac, Windows, Meeting Room, Mobile, and Virtual platforms. With over 35,000 staff members, you will ensure everyone has performant and secure devices with access to the applications they need to do their best work.

Key Responsibilities

  1. The design and ownership of the technical roadmap which will ensure alignment with our client’s strategy and enterprise architecture roadmaps, putting colleague experience, risk, and efficiency at the core.
  2. Risk control overview, assessment decisions, and management where risk/control owner/nominee.
  3. Effective resource management to maintain skills and capabilities to deliver the roadmap and operate 24×7 services.
  4. Support supplier management to maximise service performance and ensure the right technology choices are made.

Skills and Experience Required

  1. Must have hands-on experience engineering and supporting physical and virtual estates and delivering relevant transformation in a large enterprise.
  2. Must have deep and broad technical, commercial, and delivery experience in the areas of scope.
  3. Ability to manage a high workload effectively.
  4. Understanding of relevant industry trends and benchmarks, in particular Modern Workplace in Financial Services or other highly secure industries.
  5. Good understanding of risk and control environment and management of risk – experience in Financial Services would be beneficial.
  6. Must be able to be on-site in the City of London 2-3 days a week.

What You Can Expect

  1. A competitive salary of £100,000 – £145,000 depending on experience.
  2. 25% bonus of your annual salary (dependent on your personal performance and our client’s).
  3. Generous pension scheme which our client will contribute up to 14%.
  4. 29 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option of purchasing up to 5 more days.
  5. Up to £1200 of free shares within our client’s organisation per year with their matching share plan.
