Job Description
Demand Planner 🌮
Fast-growing food brand | Hybrid working | New role
We’re supporting a leading food importer and distributor with the hire of their first Demand Planner. This is a newly created role that will help shape how forecasting is done across the business — working closely with the sales, supply and IT teams to improve forecast accuracy, system capability, and planning processes.
The business has a diverse client base across the foodservice and manufacturing sectors, and this role plays a key part in ensuring the supply chain can flex to meet demand.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own and maintain the rolling 12-month forecast across key customer accounts
- Build strong working relationships with the sales team and customers to improve forecast accuracy at SKU level
- Highlight risks and variances, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Partner with IT to develop and improve forecasting systems, reporting and dashboards
- Collaborate with the wider supply and procurement team to support NPD launches, menu changes and promotional activity
What they’re looking for:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in FMCG demand planning (supply planning experience alone won’t be enough)
- Strong analytical skills and Excel capability, ideally with SQL and Power BI exposure
- Experience working with ERP systems and forecasting tools
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence both internal teams and external customers
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where priorities can shift
What’s on offer:
- Competitive salary
- 10% bonus (split between individual and business performance)
- Hybrid working – 3 days per week in the office
- Chance to shape a brand-new role and improve planning across the business
- Collaborative culture and close-knit supply team
